So Excited I Can't Sleep!

This time tomorrow, I'll be at Alderson-Broaddus College in West Virginia, in the middle of orientation for my semester abroad. Man, I am so pumped!

I'm so ready to get over there! Seriously, I'm so excitied that I haven't been able to sleep for the last two days. (though that may have had more to do with my computer frying itself Wednesday night than actually being excited for Austria)

Please pray, both for a safe journey for me, and for my family when I'm over there. Especially for my mother; it's just going to be her dealing with my grandmother, whom (as some of you know) has Alzheimer's. It's going to be a very rough three months for her.

I'll keep y'all posted as best I can. Not sure when I'll have web access again once I leave, but definitely by Wednesday or so once I get settled in at Haus Wartenberg in Salzburg. Until then, peace.

One Week Away

Hey, everyone. As you probably already know, I'm going to be studying in Austria during the upcoming semester. I'm going to be leaving for orientation in West Virginia exactly one week from today, then I fly to Salzburg on Sept. 7.

There's a travel component built into the program, so I'm going to be spending a good deal of my weekends roaming all over Europe. Hence the title of the blog. Raptor's Roamings. Get it? I'm going to be roaming all over Europe, and my screen name's Raptor, so... Raptor's Roamings... ?

Nevermind.

Anyway, I'll be posting pics soon after we (there's about 10 of us going, I think) land and get settled in, but I'll probably be totally zonked from jet lag for a day or two, so we'll see what happens.

Anyway, I'm totally psyched for this, can't wait to get out there!
